Testimonial
I spent most of my childhood, adolescent and adult years as
an obese person. The teasing, the prejudice and down right
cruelty was a hurt all too familiar for those of us who have
been down this road.
As my self esteem decreased, my health problems
increased. At 53, I found myself morbidly obese, diabetic,
hypertensive, arthritic, having a high cholesterol, irritable
bowel syndrome and severe depression, bordering on suicide.
My nurse practitioner, Mary Danhauer, in Owensboro, KY not
only listened sympathetically, but she offered me hope--she
told me about Dr. Husted's practice in Nashville and the successes
of several of his patients right here in my area. I called
the office before I ever left Mary's parking lot to schedule
my appointment.
While the thought of surgery did not really appeal to my husband,
Lynn, he went with me to the seminar and then to my consult
with Dr. Anderson. These two men became the most important
people in my life for the next several months. Dr. Anderson
performed my miracle surgery June 25. My dear Lynn is totally
supportive, only leaving my side while I was in surgery and
in ICU. I had a minor setback July 3 and Jamie returned my
phone call in less than 2 minutes. After an almost record
breaking drive into Nashville, Jennifer and Dr. Anderson were
waiting for me. I have never known such kind and professional
people! My care on 8 Kidd was wonderful and my visits with
Wanda were so appreciated.
Now, it's 8 months later--I am 82 pounds lighter.
I am aiming for an additional 25-30 pound loss before having
a tummy tuck. I am no longer diabetic, hypertensive, take
only Tylenol for my arthritis and have a normal cholesterol.
My depression is controlled with minimal medication. In fact,
I have gone from taking 18 prescriptions before surgery to
the present 3 prescriptions! I have a new life, not just the
old one back--I have joy, I have hope, I have LIFE worth living.
Thanks to God Almighty, all at Cumberland Center, Mary Danhauer
and my wonderful husband. It just keeps getting better.
