I have been overweight all my life. I can't say it didn't bother me, but it wasn't until I had children that it really bothered me. The lack of energy and all of the health problems really brought the problem home to me. I had surgery on 1/4/02 and have lost over 180 pounds. This has changed my life! I have not had a cold in over a year! I helped coach my son's soccer team. Yes, there are some downsides to the surgery, but if I had it to do over again, I would not hesitate!
