When I went to see Dr. Husted I had medical problems and no matter what I did, I could not lose the weight. I was so afraid to have the surgery because of the things I had heard about weight loss surgery, however after talking to Dr. Husted and the benefits of the weight loss surgery which was promising, I decided to have the surgery. From the first day after surgery I knew in my heart that I had made the right decision for me. I was up walking the hospital halls the day after surgery, the second day after surgery I was walking everywhere in the hospital. My surgery was on a Thursday afternoon, I remember waking up Friday around lunch time, and on Monday morning I was sitting in my own living room at home.

I have done and felt wonderfully from the weight loss and I have a whole new outlook on life and a whole new life. I was married to a wonderful man on December 29, 2006 and when I first showed him the pictures of me before the surgery he asked whom that person was. People whom have not seen me and whom knew me before surgery don't know who I am. If I don't speak first a lot of people just walk by because they don't recognize me. I was wearing a size 26 pants and a 3X shirt before surgery, now I wear a size 4 petite pants and a small shirt. It's amazing and hard to believe.

Thank you, Dr. Husted for giving me life because my weight was actually stealing life from me a little everyday.
