Dear Dr. Husted and CCFOS,

Well here I am at the six month anniversary of the miracle that you caused to happen to me and I am somewhat at a loss to communicate how wonderful this gift that you gave me is.

Perhaps I can best explain by telling you this story:

For several years, before I was so fortunate as to meet you, I have told my wife that if I was walking down the beach and found Aladdin's lamp laying in the sand, rubbed it, and a genie popped out offering me only one wish, before I asked for $50,000,000 or world peace I would beg to be thin. You have granted my fondest wish, and for that I am eternally and deeply grateful.

For the person considering coming to the CCFOS practice for help I can only say that they have made the right decision. To that person, I would share with you something that I noticed on my first trip to the CCFOS office. A genuine concern and care for the individuals that come to them for help. From brilliant and skilled surgeons, professional and well organized office staffing, the well conceived web site, surgical notebook that patients receive, all the way down to something as innocuous as the furniture in the waiting room CCFOS is the description of a state of the art surgical clinic. Of course many businesses, physician practices, and organizations profess their care, and to varying degrees they may have some level of success. However, CCFOS delivers in spades right off the bat. On my first visit to CCFOS Jamie greeted me at my appointment time and after we went through the door she asked me what I thought I weighed. Since I was too heavy for the scale at my house I could only guess and although I thought I weighed 325 pounds I told her that I thought I weighed 350 pounds. In fact I weighed 398 pounds. Even though in my work it is necessary that I keep my thoughts to myself and not show much emotion, and I fancied that I did that very well, my disappointment must have shown through, at least to Jamie, and she said, "Don't worry, we are here to help you." NO ONE and I mean absolutely nobody had ever said that to me before, or meant it. The simple fact is that she did deliver.

Of course I have been through every diet or exercise regime known to man. Some successful for a brief time only to return me to the situation I was in before, it is an old story, one that everybody who has weight problems can relate to.
