All my life I have been FAT! For as long as I remember I have been the brunt of fat jokes, stares, and not being accepted due to my size. Like most obese patients I have tried almost every diet imaginable with my first supervised diet being when I was in junior high school. Just like most obese people I would lose weight then gain it back plus more.

Three years ago I began traveling with my job. Getting around airports was awful. Walking to the gates left me short of breath, not to mention the comments and stares I received on the plane. I had my DS on July 16, 2002. I left the hospital off all blood pressure medication. I have not had any complications from the surgery. At my two week check up I had lost 25 pounds.
