It's a scary thing to live your life wondering if you'll wake up when you go to sleep. That's just what I felt like at 446 lbs. I had tried every diet imaginable, and could not keep it off. I was always able to lose weight when I tried, but never able to maintain it. In July of 2001 I decided to do some Internet research and find out about weight loss surgery. I was in an electric wheelchair most of the time, and could not do anything on my own. I basically existed. Life is a far cry from what I was doing.

I fought to get a referral to Dr. Husted from my primary care doc, and the rest is history. I haven't reached my weight goal yet, but I have far exceeded all of my personal goals. I am off two blood pressure medicines, a diabetes medicine, a sleep apnea machine, etc. I feel so incredible, and life is definitely worth living!!!!! Thanks to Dr. Husted, and his wonderful supportive staff. I wouldn't be alive today, if it weren't for them. They are incredible!!!!
