Well, here I am almost a year post op and can still hardly believe how easily the weight has been coming off. As of June 2003, 144 pounds are gone and I am only 30 pounds away from goal. Until recently, I never quite realized how near death I was, packing around all of that weight. What can I say? I now have more energy than I sometimes know what to do with. Before, I was barely able to get ready for work, go to work, and then spend the rest of the evening as a couch potato. Now I have to remind myself that it is ok to sit down. My family swears Dr. Husted must have done something to my brain while I was in surgery. I have never in my life felt more alive and am really amazed at myself.

I thank God for the knowledge He gave to people such as Dr. Husted and Jamie to not only offer a solution to morbid obesity, but to actually be your friend and offer you more support than I could have ever imagined. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Husted, he is the most caring and compassionate man I have ever encountered. From the moment I first met him, I had total trust in what he advised me to do. I read a lot of e-mail on the website and numerous people refer to Jamie as their angel. Truer words have never been spoken; she is always there with a kind word, or to offer some encouragement. Never once have I encountered staff that would give you their pager number and say to call anytime if you have a problem or a question, and really mean for you to call them. I am 46 years old and can honestly say that this is the first time in my life that I look forward to my doctor appointments.

I could go on and on but I will sum it all up by saying, life is great now thanks to God, Dr. Husted, and Jamie.
