I was really discouraged when I retired and could not physically do any of the things I had dreamed of doing. At 54 I felt I should be in the prime of my life instead of feeling like it was the end of it. So, when my niece found Dr. Husted and Dr. Anderson and was so successful with her surgery I decided to check into it.

I had my DS surgery with Dr. Anderson on September 22, 2003. These doctors and nurses are great. They are always there for you and ready to answer all your questions without making you feel stupid.

This surgery is not the easy way out. I had a really rough time in the beginning and still learning a new life. I'm a slow loser compared to most, 72lbs in six months. But I feel great and looking better everyday (except for the loose skin but that can be fixed too LOL).
