I have been overweight most of my life. I tried so many diets that I finally gave up. I would try to convience myself that the size that I was is ok and that was who I was. I was depressed and I know that my kids probably were ashamed of their mom. I got to the point where it was hard to walk, I had arthitis in my back, degenerative joint disease in my back, and asthma. One day I started to do research on Weight Loss Surgery and did not tell anyone about it. I found Dr. Husted. It took me a couple of months to finally break down and tell my husband what I was feeling. After that moment I went to the seminar held by Dr. Husted and Jamie. I also met Wanda and Ellen. It took me a year to get on the ball with things because I still wanted to make sure that I was doing the right thing for me. I finally got an approval and surgery was scheduled.

I had the DS on March 10, 2006. This past year has been amazing and how much weight I have lost. I keep up with my weight loss each month and how many inches I have lost. The inches is also amazing. I have lost 100 lbs since surgery but I have lost a total of 113 lbs from my highest weight. I have ONLY about 40 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. Goal weight, boy I haven't said that in a long time.

Dr. Husted and his team are amazing and I would have the surgery all over again in a heartbeat. I could not imagine where my life would be right now if it hadn't been for them. Thanks to Dr. Husted, Jamie, Ellen, and Wanda. I wish you the best. May God Bless each and everyone of you!
