I have been heavy my whole life, the last few years my weight really ballooned. I still have a hard time believing I had gotten up to 309 lbs.

I couldn't do the everyday things without being out of breath and sweating. Always felt embarrassed to be out in public so spent most of my time at home behind closed doors or with family who loved me no matter what size I was. I was out of breath walking to the mail box, couldn't walk Wal-Mart without getting out of breath, had a hard time playing with my grandbabies, tying my shoes, shaving my legs etc. My health was starting to have major problems, and my blood pressure kept going up to stroke level.

I had the Fobi and other than nausea in the beginning and a little depression I have had it very easy. I have lost a lot slower than most have lost, but I HAVE LOST. And I have not gone hungry or without eating.

At 8 months out, I have lost 90 lbs. I can now walk several miles without being out of breath, can run and chase my grandbabies, my blood pressure is normal, my acid reflux is gone, the pains in my feet are gone, my knees don't hurt when I walk, and I have so much energy and feel wonderful.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Anderson for helping me reach this wonderful part of my life. If I had this to do over with I would in a heartbeat! Wish I had done it years ago.

Anyone that is thinking of this surgery needs to be aware that this is a life changing surgery, not a quick fix, not an easy fix, but you know what? The quality of life you will have after having this surgery is far better than you can ever imagine.
